With the release of a new, distinct style each season, Tori Richard celebrates nearly 70 years of (a rich) textile design history.

    THE FLORENCE DRESS "TABU"

    In 1968, this dress turned heads. Now, it’s ready to do it all over again. The Florence Dress is a faithful reproduction from our archives, showcasing the same bold floral “Tabu” print that captured attention decades ago. With its A-line shape, structured mock neck, and button tab details at the back, it’s a nod to our past—with a place in your present. The dress is handcrafted in the USA.

Since 1956, Tori Richard has created art to reflect and celebrate the diversity of Hawaii's cultures and environment. Over the decades, this creative process has resulted in a deep and rich archive of over 40,000 works of beautiful textiles and resort fashion silhouettes. Each Tori Richard design encapsulates something unique about the decade when it was released. To launch the initiative, two stunning vintage dresses have been recreated in celebration of the brand’s legacy.

  • THE SONIA DRESS “PRISM”

    A careful recreation of a vintage Tori Richard dress, this frock features a print first created in the early 1970s, the artwork resembles a stylized rainbow - an instantly recognizable symbol of Hawaii. This dress delivers a level of artisanal detail and sophisticated style for which the Tori Richard brand has long been celebrated. It features a halter neckline with a padded neck ring and self-covered belt with a fitted bodice and flowing skirt. The solid bodice contrasts with a printed skirt, adding to its timeless appeal. The dress is handcrafted in the USA.

  • THE TORI DRESS “HONOLULU 72"

    A precise reproduction of its namesake, the dress features a print created by the company in 1972, exemplifying modernist expressions of Asian influences. The original cotton ottoman fabric was faithfully duplicated by an Italian mill, possessing a soft structure and gorgeous drape that brings the artwork to life. Handcrafted in the USA, the dress uses the Italian textile to recreate the dress to vintage specifications and details, resulting in a beautiful halter maxi dress with a fitted bodice and soft A-line skirt.
