SALES ASSOCIATE

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Sales Leadership 

  • Strives for sales excellence and results; ensures selling standards are met 
  • Works with customers and employs excellent sales and customer service skills 
  • Meets or exceeds personal and store sales targets 
  • Builds a client book through establishing client relationships to drive additional sales and customer engagement. 
  • Effectively utilizes marketing and promotional activities to engage customers and drive results. 

Store Standards and Visual Guidelines 

  • Executes floor-set, promotional and visual merchandising directives. 
  • Actively helps to ensure the overall cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and backroom. 
  • Ensures store appearance and atmosphere supports and reinforces the brand image. 

Operational Excellence 

  • Supports the management team in controlling company assets i.e. key control, company standards of conduct, loss prevention and inventory management  
  • Strives for 100% accuracy and compliance in: cash, inventory, fixtures and property management 
  • Assists in the daily operational duties of opening/closing of the store 
  • Adheres to company guidelines of dependability, including attendance requirements, professionalism and conduct 

Store Standards 

  • Assists in the execution of floor-set, promotional, and visual merchandising directives 
  • Works as a member of the team to ensure all store standards are met 
  • Understands, supports and complies with all company policies and procedures 
  • Assists in maintaining a work climate that is respectful, professional and team oriented  
  • Attends and participates in store meetings 
  • Contributes to the overall safety, cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and backroom

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • High School graduate or equivalent  
  • One to two years retail experience 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays 
  • Represents the fashion and style image of TR RETAIL, LLC 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Strong observation skills - identifying and assessing customer behavior, reactions, floor awareness, etc. 
  • Ability to retain and utilize data, i.e., names, merchandise, information, policies and procedures  
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and decision-making skills 
  • Rudimentary computer skills, including basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with point-of-sale systems 

Mathematical Skills: 

  • Basic math skills for purchases, payment transactions and bank deposits 

Physical Demands: 

  • Ability to standing for 8+ hours or duration of scheduled shift 
  • Ability to standing, walking, bending, squatting and or twisting 
  • Ability to grasp, push, reach and manipulate objects with right/left hand(s). 
  • Ability to bend at waist with some twisting  
  • Reaching above or below shoulder level 
  • Ability to occasionally climb ladders to store, receive and/or place materials and/or merchandise 

COMPENSATION: Ability to earn $16 - $20 per hour, plus commission and bonus potential
