Men's Summer Style Guide

It’s a bit of an understatement to say how much we’re looking forward to this summer.  As we figure out different ways to spend time outside again, feel the warm sunshine on our faces, and dip our toes into more social activities, you might be wondering, “but what do I wear?” and “how do I look and stay cool in this hot and humid weather?”

Well, we’ve got you covered. Check out our summer style guide to help you shed those winter layers and swing into the new season!

Good to Grill

Summer, also known as barbeque season, is full of casual gatherings. But that doesn’t have to mean just t-shirts and shorts.

When you’re cooking steaks over hot coals and the temperature is rising, our Tradewind Technology© button-ups can handle the heat.  With moisture-wicking and quick-drying properties, these shirts keep you cool and dry.    Pick a subtle microprint to break up a solid-colored look and pair the shirt with a tailored short. Our Monte Carlo shorts are made of a smooth and soft blend of Tencel™ and cotton with a hint of stretch, making them the most comfortable shorts we have ever made.

Weekend Getaway

Heading to the tropics for a long weekend? Or taking a road trip down the coast? Cotton and linen are the most comfortable fabrics for warm-weather vacation wear.  Cottons are breathable and wrinkle less, thanks to their tighter weave.  Linens have an open weave which allows more air to pass through—necessary in hot and humid weather.

The cotton lawn and linen blend shirting fabrics we have developed for decades are designed to be comfortable while retaining the color and detail of the artwork.  Summer getaways are the perfect chance to go bold with print and color!

Pair our lightweight printed shirts with solid-colored pants that are wrinkle-resistant and breathable.  From sitting for hours in a plane or car to jumping into the next activity, you need to be able to move all day with comfort.  Our Surf ‘N Turf pants made with Tradewind Technology© come in five different colors and can weather any situation.  Moisture-wicking properties, wrinkle-resistance, and enhanced stretch make them great for travel and versatile for all the activities planned on your itinerary.

Take a Dip

Spending a day at the beach is the best way to relax this summer. To jump in the water in a moment’s notice, we turn to a classic t-shirt and short combo.

Start with the right fabrics and features.  While we want to look good, it’s also important to feel even better.  Our 100% pima cotton tees are ultrasoft and breathable.  Go for light solid colors with a fun center graphic.  It might start a conversation!

For swim shorts, go wild with a print as long as you keep your tee a solid color.  Find a short that hits just above the knee, isn’t too baggy or too tight.  Our swim shorts have a 6-inch inseam, enhanced stretch, sun protection, and moisture-wicking technology.  With mesh liner pockets, back pocket zippers and a drawcord, you can easily wear these beyond the beach!

What is the difference among a blue, orange, or brown tagged shirt?
